some of the artists i'm currently working with, or who just plain rock my world include...
"Electro for those post club moments or for a Sunday morning chillout, or so it says here. Lively and Pleasantly melodic there's loads of interesting stuff going on, with plenty of ambience to keep it in its own space in the nicely detailed mix. Put it on in the background while fryin' yer bacon..." - Future Music
"Wer auf PlumpDJs, Chemical Brothers und Groove Armada steht, wird hier seine helle Freude haben." - besonic.com
'Post Club Electro or Dance Music for People Who Can't Dance'
The Roscoe Experiment was started in 2004, and continues to this day... the exact aim of the project remains, as yet, unclear.
Initial reports suggest that early experiments involved locking a guitarist, Fat Dave, alone in a room with just a sampler, the end result? 2004's 'Ambient (ish) electro' release "I'm Over There".
It has become clear that The Roscoe Experiment has been expanded...
2005's 'Stereo-Prequel' "There I Am..." saw The Roscoe Experiment return with more of their unique brand of Post-Club Electro. In true prequel style it was Faster and Louder, with Bigger Beats and More Sci-Fi...
The Explosions Were Bigger too...
Featuring tracks like 'The Barnhouse Effect' and 'Stone Sniffer' it demonstrated a more upbeat, yet sinister side to the 'Roscoe' sound.
2006 release '...Where?!?' completed the 'Nightlife' trilogy and cemented the trademark 'Roscophonic Sound'. Moving from the psychedellic bigbeat of '68 Waffles... And 1 To Go' to the punk intermission 'Outta My System...' the Beats remained Large, and the sci-fi...?
'Marryin Sally' a heart-felt tale, in which "boy robot meets girl robot under a digitally generated sky" shows there's still as much as ever.
'Can You Hear Me Now?' is lifted from the forthcoming 'Plate-Techtonics' EP, and showcases a darker, dirtier vibe. It also features vocals by Fat Dave. The EP will also feature live favourite 'Dub Hop', and is due for release mid/late 2007.
With more live dates and collaborations planned, the year ahead looks very interesting...
