The Rose and Thistle Wedding Band consists of three of the Pacific Northwest's most sought after Celtic musicians: Rob Barrick (highland pipes, Scottish smallpipes, bass, percussion), Elizabeth Nicholson (Celtic harp, vocals, guitar), and Eddie Parente (violin and viola). With over 75 years and 1000 weddings worth of cumulative experience, the trio's performances exhibit the highest level of professionalism and expertise. The ensemble's diverse repertoire ranges from spirited Celtic dance music, to ethereal Irish and Scottish slow airs and songs, to classical wedding favorites such as Pachelbel's Canon and Wagner's Bridal March. The band's new CD "Celtic Wedding Music, Volume 2" is its first release in a trio format. This recording is an expanded follow-up to Rob and Elizabeth's earlier duo cd, "Celtic Wedding Music."
As an ensemble whose specialty is wedding music, the band is always happy to tailor its instrumentation and repertoire to specifically suit your special day. The ensemble's most popular package includes harp and violin for prelude music, bagpipes for the processional and recessional, quiet background music for the cocktail hour, and high-energy Celtic dance music for the reception.
Another new recording, "Young May Moon" has just been released. This is a more general cd, not as geared toward weddings. It has several new songs from Elizabeth as well as unique arrangements of old and new instrumentals.___________________________________________________________________________________

A quote from a recent wedding we played .....
"Hi Michelle,
I just wanted to let you know that Rob Barrick's celtic trio was superb. They arrived earlier than expected, played exactly the tunes and tempo we'd hoped for, and were exceptionally talented musicians. Many guests commented on the music and how perfect it was for the ceremony. Thanks for your help finding them and contributing to a perfect wedding.
Jules (Proud Father of the Bride) Evens"
