"That's the great thing about power pop. The good stuff, while being witty, relate-able, and sensible, has to have an edge to push off from. And these Rosenbergs have that edge while retaining their nonchalant innocence. "I hate myself now, looks like you’ve drawn me in, a new deceiver, pulling the strings again." In "Little Lie", the band establishes their brilliant mix of vocal immediacy and vicious guitar licks. Who needs therapy?" -- HybridMagazine.com
>David's first solo record, "FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY," is finally finished! It's his first record in three years and his first without The Rosenbergs. It's already being touted as the best record he's done. It's only availabel online so click below to get a copy. Shipping included. <>
"MR. FIX IT" WAS ONE OF THE TOP RENTALS AT BLOCKBUSTER IN ITS FIRST FEW DAYS OF RELEASE! THE 'BERGS HAVE FIVE SONGS IN THE MOVIE, INCLUDING THE CLOSING CREDITS FEATURING AN UNRELEASED VERSION OF BIRDS OF A FEATHER.
Search the Internet for info on The Rosenbergs and you'll come across a unique history of bold career moves, including teaming up with legendary progressive rock master, Robert Fripp. Through Fripp's UK based label, DGM, The Rosenbergs, way ahead of their time, began paving the way for artists to begin partnering with labels, thus giving them a share in the ownership of their masters and better control of their financial futures.
A few months later, while the rest of the music industry was waging war against Napster, The Rosenbergs took another controversial step by teaming with the infamous file-sharing service for tour sponsorship and a "buy one, get one free" promotion for their sophomore release Mission: You.
The Rosenbergs have shared the stage with acts like No Doubt, Stone Temple Pilots, The Strokes, Duncan Sheik, Duran Duran, Echo and the Bunnymen, and a host of other 80's heros.
As for the music, three of the band's songs are featured in upcoming movies: "Pushing Up Daisies" will be featured in National Lampoon's "The Trouble With Frank"; starring Jon Bon Jovi, Cary Elwes, David Faustino, and Estella Warren. "Holding Pattern" and "Birds Of A Feather" will appear in "Mr. Fix It," a romantic comedy starring Paul Sorvino and David Boreanaz. "Birds" is also used in the trailer for the critically acclaimed "Red Doors"; winner of numerous awards including the Tribeca Festival.
The guys also appeared as the house band for five consecutive nights on "Last Call W/ Carson Daly." Their tunes can be heard on a host of television shows on FOX, CBS, NBC, WB, BRAVO, MTV, and ESPN. And odds are you've heard a Rosenbergs song or two while flying American Airlines, shopping at The Gap, or watching Queer Eye.
Recently, the band got to do what most men (and boys) only dream about. Three songs off of "Department Store Girl" are included in Playboy's first video game, "Playboy; The Mansion". As a result, the band was asked to perform at the Mansion to kick off the game's release, then they were asked back again - a definite career highlight for the guys, among many others.
