"You guys (and gal) have flat got it. I've about
burned laser grooves in your CD since I arrived
home. Bill Monroe must be smiling as he gazes
toward London alongside Blind Willie Johnson,
Dewey Balfa, Keith Whitley, and Chubby Wise.
Oh - and I love the name!" [Jack Bernhardt - Country & Traditional Music Correspondent, Raleigh News & Observer, North Carolina]

The Rosinators on the Leftfield Stage Glastonbury Festival, UK June 2005
"When American roots music deejays rave about bluegrass passion, Cajun verve and country-gospel authenticity, you know that The Rosinators are the real deal. From deep in the heart of Balham Alligator territory, the London-based trio have added their own stamp to the American old time tradition so convincingly that most of their radio airplay comes from US stations. Formed in 2001, they blazed out of the traps with dynamic three-part vocal harmonies and fiery twin-fiddle attacks driven by crackin' guitar picking." Edinburgh Festival Fringe
"Paul, Fliss and Will are three excellent musicians who absolutely love to play - enthusiastic, joyful and really good people. When the Rosinators play everyone in the room has a smile on their face. Go to see them. Get the album. You won't regret it." Gail Comfort, CMR Nashville
"Rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the UK's finest bands...if you've not heard their music then you really are missing something great!!" Dee Hallett, British Bluegrass News
"On this their debut album, The Rosinators give it to you straight: excellent musicianship and harmonies to die for....It's honest and passionate. On the first listening I was under it's spell; on the second I was hooked! This is real acoustic roots at its best. Don't let this one pass you by!" Gerry Mansfield, Maverick Magazine

A bit of advance notice - MondayMonday proudly presents Rún and Steven Finn and more at The Wilmington Arms, Clerkenwell on Monday 7th December
Rún collect and arrange old folk songs written in the ancient language of Erin. So far, thanks to Nora from Donegal, they have a nice wee collection of well-known ditties and are now adding to their repertoire with some unusual old forgotten songs from the province of Ulster. Rún are five fantastic lassies who perform four-part vocal arrangements of old Gaelic songs like ’An Cailín Rua’ (the red-haired girl), ’Casadh an tSúgain’ (twisting the hayrope) and ’Bo Na Leath Adhairce’ (the one-horned cow). Rún is the Gaelic word for ’secret, wish or love’ (cf. rune). See http://www.myspace.com/runceol ..
Steven Finn’s ears were filled with the music of Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Johnny Cash and old time country music. Aged 15 he began teaching himself the guitar, learning songs like Leadbelly’s ‘Bourgeois Blues’ and Charlie Daniels’ ‘The devil went down to Georgia’. On hearing Bob Dylan songs Finn started to write his own words and in doing so found a lifelong passion for Jazz and Folk Blues, a getaway car he could drive. See http://www.myspace.com/stevenfinn for more details
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. May God Bless and Keep You...
