Influences
booze, smoke, cigarettes, roadside mental breakdowns, buskers, beggers, campfires, morbid fairy tales, b-movies , beans with mustard..and a bit o' hot sauce, freak shows, solidarity, corruption, riots, fire fire fire, transients and tramps...and Nellie...the stinky, shaggy, grandma pooch.
We started out busking on the streets of Ottawa, making money for our daily neccessities, but, soon realized we wanted to take our music more seriously. We began to play shows in and around ottawa and hitched across Canada in the summer of 2007.
When we got out west (Victoria, BC) we recorded a full length cd in our friends basement and booked a tour back home along with our friends in the band Ursula. They bought a van, we played shows together, it was a ball.
After tour we decided to remain calling Ottawa, ON home, and decided to record some stuff we had been working on. So, in Montreal, PQ, we went to Red Rhino studios with our friend Menno Versteeg, who produced, and Richard Vincent who engineered and recorded our three song ep 'Drawn In Crayon: a tale'.
Since then we've performed at North By North East 08 in Toronto, ON, embarked on a 3 month tour across Canada and up north to the Yukon Territory, and still appear on your local street corner (so if you see us, spare some change please!), excited to get ourselves out there, to everywhere and anywhere we can.

Did it work out with the T-shirts? You should make especially a few for the rough sailors out there! Hopefully see you in Toronto at Wavelenght this Sunday. On Saturday we play with Labasheeda at the BBQ.
oh em gee July is going to be such a fun fun fun month! Lets do something fun yet productive... we have a few weeks to brainstorm.
thanks again for letting me stay at your house. Mr.Cops - I am now proudly sporting a green trucker hat with the bite taken out of it, I'm told it at one point belonged to you. It says "GN(A)RLY" on the brim now as well, so you know it's in good hands.
You guys are great. None of us have made it up to Canada yet, but it's not beyond the realm of possible. If you guys ever make it down to Massachusetts, give us a holler. We'll make sure to try to hook you guys up with a show too.
