BIO:
It’s unlikely a band takes as much from The Ronettes as they take from Weezer, but it's far more unlikely such a band springs out of the desert, border-city of El Paso, Texas. The Royalty, for the El Paso/Juarez metro, is just that: a pleasantly misplaced oddity.
The Royalty is Jesus, Joel, Will, Nicole, Michael, and Dan. We would love to see you at a show.

"The Royalty is the kind of band that makes you want to be in the band....Joel Quintana bangs the drums much like a hellion who has finally found his malevolent purpose in life, bent on beating skins till it induces a similar frenzy in others. Joel's efforts find their fruit when Daniel Marin, pounds on the keys like a demented Schroeder slapping the keys with open-faced palms that never miss a note. Lead singer, Nicole sings with a whiskey bent fury that's at least one-and-a-half times her size, encompassing the star-powered stage presence unique to alt-country crooners at least three times her age, think pre-sobriety Carolyn Wonderland, Devil Doll with all the spunk minus the pseudo-glam, a young, yet cute Janis Joplin, all the while on the brim of Gwen Stefani. Nicole emphasizes every syllable of each song lyric with her eyes letting her voice spell out the rest. Write it on the bathroom wall, for a good time, call The Royalty" - Crystal Robert, , ELPASOTIMES.COM
"The Royalty is the hottest export to come out of El Paso, Texas since chili. The border town of El Paso, Texas is known for its spicy Mexican food, and the hot desert sun! However, El Paso will soon be celebrated for the new, red-hot super group, The Royalty." -FAMOUS INDIE MINUTE, Austin, TX
"....A wall-of-sound instrumental assault that included (among other things) finger cymbals and enough energy to power an ocean liner, The Royalty quickly established itself as a high-octane, can’t-miss act. Their Phil Spector-meets-Rivers Cuomo combination of sonic richness and pop melodics is evident on the band’s first official recording, an EP released in December of last year. Featuring wistful numbers like “StarCrossed” and multi-part anthems like “The Veteran,” the record shows a band brimming with ideas and meticulous enough to fully realize them." - Ryan B. Martinez, WHAT'S UP Magazine
"The female singer is quite popular and adorable to boot. Her voice is raw, and the melody is absolutely bitchin'. The sound reminds me of milkshakes and bobby socks all while rocking my bobby socks off. The crowd is really into them. This is obviously supposed to be the showcase band for the evening." -Kristi Harben, VERVE Magazine
I wish every time I went out to see a band they rocked, but that only happens about 36.15% of the time. The Royalty was definitely in that percentage and really lit up the Knitting Factory when I saw them a week ago. The first thing that caught my eye was how they instantly converted a bare stage into a dance party without hesitation. It was almost like a light switch: ready....ON! They are 100% KROQ-friendly and could easily snag up fans across the country. They are hot!" -Julia Swanwick, JULIA'S ARTIST/BAND SPOTLIGHT! Hollywood, CA

He Of The House's very first (of many) compilation. Nineteen tracks from twenty artists, the end result of which is possibly one of the most diverse compilations I've ever heard. From soft spoken acoustic folk to raving, churning dirge tunes; from a noisy, industrial cover of a Sonic Youth song to oldschool punk from when it was still raw, fast, and unforgiving. Powerviolence peppers the grounds where spooked whispers whinny along, and the caustic words of a madman festering in his own mind play out over perpetually plucked guitar strings. A true honour it is to work with these amazing artists, and I do hope we can keep them coming back for years.

"Music the way it was meant to be ...as inspiration, as medicine for the soul. "
"For me music is meant to be as inspiration, as a voice or a whisper in your mind that encourages you and lifts you up. It is the only thing that can heal your soul or your spirit. This is what the music of Jayden's Playground does for me."
