Ruby first flexed her performing feathers at the tender age of 4 and since then, very little has changed. Some of her greatest moments include being directed by Michael Bogdanov and performing for Prince Charles together with some slightly more disreputable activity such as hosting the first ever, live “on air” burlesque class for Kerrang and being the first ever burlesque performer on NUTs TV! Whatever next.....
Ruby has recently finished working on a new project based on Jack Vettrianos work, starting with a short film called “See You Soon” created by the amazingly talented Helena Biggs of ”Singing Butler Productions”.
Ruby Rose is the founder member of The Burlesque Women’s Insitute which has fast become an essential port of call for all those with a love of burlesque, it also hosts the most definitive online listings guide so you will never be stuck for a night out and a busy online forum where you will find performers, promoters, fans, casting calls and endless support on the friendliest forum in town.
Ruby is also the UKs foremost vintage hair and make-up artist, specialising in vintage and retro styles from the 1920’s through to the 1950’s. She runs classes all over the UK and Ireland, which you can read more about and book through her online shop ”The Ruby Emporium” or ”The Burlesque Womens Institute.”
