Who Are The Rum Chasers?
One might be asking at this point; who the heck are the Rum Chasers? Let us enlighten you. We're a group of girls originally from completely different paths of life that united together because of one common interest; Music! The honesty of country music has gotten us all through some hard times, and the integrity of the wonderful artists who make this genre what it is has been an inspiration to all of us.
Why 'The Rum Chasers?' It started out as an offhanded joke and that small joke turned into one of our other girls making a comment calling us 'The Rum Chasers' not meaning much by it, but laughter ensued and the name sort of stuck. It suits us, we think!
We feel that each one of us has strengths, qualities, viewpoints and dreams that together has the potential to be something amazing. A few of us sing, (one of us being a previous American Idol alum!) We also write and songwrite, we love country music, and somewhere immersed in the world of Country Music is where we feel we belong. We're thankful for the gifts country music has given us, and we're eager to give back to that world and make our own contributions as well.
We care a lot about supporting the artists that have inspired us, both nationally and Nashville-local. We decided to give back to the artists that have inspired us so much. Thanks to amazing places like cafepress and lulu press (where we can use their printing press services for our publication) we've decided to start up a country music magazine. What's different about this mag though, than others? Its not just about the stars of country music, but about the fans as well. Country music has amazing fans that give so much to the artists and we want to honor the artists and the fans.
Basically we're asking the fans to contribute to the magazine with fan art, concert reviews, fun country-music related stories, and a whole lot more. Check out our latest updates, and our blogs for your chances to contribute and write for the magazine!
We do post a fair amount of bulletins, but they won't be spam or crazy "OMGZ ADD DIZ PERSON!!!" They're not excessive or pointless. We want this to be a fun, interactive publication for all country music fans! Anytime you have any questions, submissions, comments, either PM us here or email us and and let us know!
