Skunkapolkabilly. Let's break that down: Skunk(Ska/punk)apolka(Polka)abilly(Psychobilly).
In a world where hotdogs run amock and dogs can simply crap wherever they feel, the people of the world look to a universal truth, something that can define their otherwise drab existence. Some look to TV. Some look to God. Some buy digital watches. But those that never gave a shit anyway look to the Rutherford Uglys. If ever you need a shoulder to cry on, don't come to us. But if you need a video game addict, a semi-homeless person, or a christian who listens to the music of Satan, you've found the right people.
If you live in the Northwest and plan to make one trip this summer, I recommend checking out the Victoria Ska Festival! It's the only event of it's type in this corner of the world, and it's a quick drive and ferry ride up, or just a hop onto the victoria clipper, which takes you from downtown Seattle right to downtown Victoria.
The Festival runs from July 8-11th and has 2 or 3 shows each day, all within walking distance. All information about the shows, transportation, and accomodations can be found at www.victoriaskafest.ca

For those who haven't heard, we'll be in the studio these next few months to record a new album with the renowned reggae singer, Eyon Irie. After that it's summer shows and writing songs for the next Orbits album!
In the meantime, if you don't have our self-titled cd yet, you can still pick it up on CD Baby and Itunes.
Good day! Just a quick note to let you know about our next show! This will be our only one for a while, since we'll be taking some time off to record another album with Eyon Irie.
Come say hi to our newest members - Paul on drums and Carlo on saxophone.
I live in Louisiana now and I make people listen to you guys all the time. I think your music is fucking awesome, particularly the originality of it.
Love you guys
I think you should get an album done, play shows, sell the album, and ride the gravy train. Or just the reguar train. Whatever you feel... maybe you could drive to wherever the gravy train's going. Definately need some shows.
arrrr!
ever since i heard your demo, the Rutherford Shanty has been stuck.in.my.head.
the horns, oh the horns! bum bum, badumbum badabadum....
bravo
how long until you record a whole album?
