A train leaves the station at 5:30pm in the afternoon. It arrives at its destination at 5:45pm. This seems impossible when the track was anything but straight, but its destination was only an illusion and the real point of awareness was in this moment. We need a different vehichle. One that would allow us to fly and deliver a message through the air, through the sound waves. This message would take the form of music, and the few that heard it would understand something they didn't before. Whether about themselves, their surroundings, or the intangible laws that govern day to day life, the words would be spread and the connections between people would grow. Music would be the new society!

Hey Ryan thanks for the friendship and sharing some really nice music!
I wanted to thank you for the tips on recording gear, I'm really not much on the mastering stages...I try to master as I go along and then tweak at the end.
I'm really impressed with your tracks. The overall feel reminds me of Zeppelin's acoustic work on III and Physical Graffiti (Bron-Y-Aur), dark eerie and delicate melodies. Aphrodite and To Be Happy are fantastic tracks as an example of that feel, though I think my favorite track might be The Colors of the Sky, which reminds me more of Wall era Floyd (can't complain about that).
Anyway, keep up the great work and if I ever get a record company to actually cough up some cash for a "finished product", I might ask for your help on mastering.
Maryam played me the CD last night and I really liked it!! My favorite ones were Dangerous, Detoxing, and Pokin U. I thought your guitar on Detoxing was awesome. I listened to your songs too. You're really talented. The first one (Aphrodite) made me sad b/c I can hear a lot of pain in that song. But it's brilliant. My second favorite is To Be Happy.
Its one of those kind of songs-melodic structures that grows on you slowly. Hey some body out there REALLY likes "there are songs"... it suddenly recieved more hits.
There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.
*** Note: PLEASE IDENTIFY IF YOU ARE IN GROUP 1 OR 2 IN YOUR RESPONSE. Emails are being reviewed by different representatives.
1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
XXX - If you meet the minimum qualifications as described above. Email a link for your MySpace Page and if applicable, a link for your website to: recordingartistsearch@gmail.com
Only send one email with your links. Due to the volume of responses normally received for these types of opportunities. After review of your material, you will only be contacted if there is an interest in attending one of your shows by a label representative. As such please to not send any follow up emails regarding selections. If you were not contacted back, there was not an interest.
