ABOUT THE RYAN - O'RIAIN22?? .................................................................
After years of songwriting and watching some of the most talented and amazing musicians, singers, songwriters and bands in existance go either unnoticed or unrecognised it seems The Ryan - O'Riain22 thought it was about time that they blew our tiny little minds wide open with some of the very best talents that probably won't be found on a major label.
They also thought it was about time to re write the book of influences of modern music by revealing some of the best kept international musical secrets of the last forty years.
The site was opened in 2006 and highlighted a few new and old friends on a handfull of tatty pages with a subject matter that hillariously covered everything from how to avoid someones dog from peeing on you in the park or how to make sure your pension funds don't put guns in the hands of psychopaths, on to 3D graphics and photo captions that would make your jaws drop...but the main thrust of the site was to always highlight and reveal some truly outstanding artistic talents who all deserve to be at the very forefront of world and media atttention.
...Some of those talents now are!
Articles that can seriously cover the artistic achievements of gifted creative talents and geniuses can also weave their way through some of the most riotous and insanely demented wit immaginable and still leave a permanent impression that somehow makes you feel that you've learnt or found something that is truly new...their 'originality awards' are a prime example.
The 'non space' site is apparently starting to develop something of a cult following and music fans who had long scince lost all interest in 'new' or 'indie' music have suddenly found those forgotten passions and interests reawakened amid a whole new wonderfull world of expertly crafted music.
Well it's time to break the silence!! The Viper Room was more welcoming and comfortable than I expected and the crowd was mostly people in the industry that we'd met in the days before. Guests of honor included Erin Davis (Miles Davis' son) and Vince Wilburn Jr. (Miles' long-time drummer). I loved the show and the whole experience!! We're going to be working on some new material soon but we're taking it easy until monday since we've been away for pretty much four months!
