t.h.e. Sacrament was founded in August of 2003 by Juliett, and (now ex-member) Fragile. In the beginning, the band had a more commercial sound, however, this evolved as the line up changed over the next 2 years. During this time, the current music style began to take shape, and the name was officially changed to "t.h.e. Sacrament".
In April 2005, Lora joined the band as vocalist.That June, the band released their first demo, "Northern Sorrow", which can be downloaded from the official website. Soon after, in September, the band performed their first concert with that lineup, at the
"Fake1" club in Saint-Petersburg. This day is considered as the real
t.h.e. Sacrament s birthday, since at this time the band moved to the
next professional level. Intense concert activity begun during this
time, and the most significant perfomances were supporting the
Portuguese band Moonspell (10th of March 2006), Finnish To/Die/For
(12th of November 2006), USA Evanescense (19th of June 2007) in the Ice Palace, UK Anathema (6th of October 2007). In the May of 2006 the band went on
their first small tour in Petrozavodsk, then in Cherepoveck in November, and in the June 2007 in Moscow.
Since the Spring of 2006 the band has been working on their debut album
The Sobering Cold". A concert to support it's release took place on the
9th of September 2006, but the album was not issued....
In the March of 2008 Lora left the band. After a long search t.h.e. Sacrament started to work with Olga NoviKova (ex-Dark Princess). In the new lineup, after two rehearsals, the band performed two concerts: with Finnish Reflexsion in SPb and Italian Dope Stars in Moscow.
The performance in club Relax (13th of June 2008) completed the concert season and the musicians have started to record a debut album.
In December 2008 t.h.e.Sacrament was support of legendary Pain and it was the last concert with Olga. In the end of the year LoraSS came back in the band.
Hello and thanks for the add. I like the mix between female and male vocals. I like the female's long evening dresses she wears. In some photos she looks like Sharon Den Adel of Within Temptation. Great production in your sound. Greetings from Canada.
