TheSade is a rock n' roll project of Andrew Pozzy (ex OJM bass player & OJM guitar player) with Mark Kimberly and Mat Zoombie (ZOO drummer). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BIO - ITA I THE SADE sono un power-trio proveniente dalla provincia di Padova, nel Nord-Est italiano. Nascono nell'estate del 2008 da un'idea di Andrew Pozzy (al tempo bassista ed ora chitarrista negli OJM) e Mark Kimberly che militava come bassista in una tribute band ai Motorhead. L'idea era quella di creare una band, inizialmente solo un progetto parallelo agli OJM che facesse cimentare Andrew alla chitarra, strumento suonato dallo stesso negli Ashtones, prima dell'esperienza da bassista con gli OJM. Al duo si unisce Mat Zoombie, già batterista negli Zoo. Dopo varie audizioni di esito negativo alla ricerca di un cantante il microfono passa alle mani di Andrew che diventa chitarrista cantante e fondamentale compositore dei pezzi della band. Da subito i the Sade iniziano una serie di concerti nella propia zona risquotendo un particolare successo. Nel 2009 dopo svariati live show e più di una decina di pezzi a repertorio, entrano in studio per incidere il loro primo EP, registrato e mixato da Franz Fabiano e prodotto artisticamente da Andrew Pozzy. Pronto l'ep autoprodotto contenente 5 pezzi che riassumono il primo anno di attività della band si inizia un'intensa attività live e promozionale in tutta la penisola condividendo il palco con molte bands italiane ed estere tra cui: Lords of Altamont, Atomic Workers, Paperback Freud, Brant Bjork, OJM, Dollhouse, Small Jackets, Frigidaire Tango, Thee Stp e molti altri, fino ad aprire per i MISFITS e per GILBY CLARKE (ex chitarrista dei Guns n' Roses)! Il tour si conclude nell' estate 2010 e il gruppo si concentra nella scrittura e arrangiamento di nuovi brani. Dopo un periodo di pausa con qualche sporadica esibizione live, la band si prepara alla realizzazione di quello che sarà il loro debut album. A Gennaio 2011 entrano in studio dando vita, con l'indispensabile appoggio di Maurizio (Icio) Baggio, a "DAMNED LOVE" debut album distribuito da Go Down Records, registrato e mixato all' Hate studio di Rosà - Vicenza, seguito dal video del primo singolo estratto: "DEAF LOVE". L'uscita del disco e l'inizio del DAMNED LOVE TOUR è prevista per Aprile 2011... Stay Tuned for more damned rock!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BIO - ENG THE SADE are a trio, hailing from the north east of Italy. They were born in the summer of 2008, thanks to Andrew Pozzy (former bass player and now guitar player of OJM) and Mark Kimberly, who at that time was playing in a Motorhead tribute band. The original idea was creating an OJM side project, in order for Andrew to practice guitar, which he had played in the band Ashtones, before joining OJM as a bass player. The duo was soon joined by Mat Zoombie, former drummer of Zoo. After unsuccessfully auditioning several singers, Andrew himself picked up the mic and became the singer, guitarist and irreplaceable songwriter in the band. THE SADE immediately kicked off and played a number of crowded and warmly welcomed gigs in their area. In 2009, after many live shows and counting about ten tracks in their whole repertoire, they set about making their first EP, recorded and mixed by Franz Fabiano and produced by Andrew Pozzy. This self produced ep contained 5 tracks that summed up the band's first year and as soon as it was ready they started a series of promotional live shows all over Italy, sharing the stage with many italian and foreign bands ( Lords of Altamont, Atomic Workers, Paperback Freud, Brant Bjork, OJM, Dollhouse, Small Jackets, Frigidaire Tango, Thee Stp among others) and opening for the MISFITS and GILBY CLARKE (ex Guns n' Roses).. The tour ended in the summer of 2010 and the band concentrated on writing and arranging new tracks. After a pause, punctuated with the odd live gig, the band set about making a debut album. In January 2011 they entered the studio and gave birth - with the essential help of Maurizio "Icio" Baggio - to "DAMNED LOVE", which is distributed by Go Down Records and was recorded and mixed at the Hate studio in Rosà - Vicenza. Shortly after that they made a video for the album's first single "DEAF LOVE". The record will be released in April 2011 and the tour will start in the same period...
