Starts Sunday 18 October for 6 weeks 2-4pm at the address below.
Come along and try your hand at banging the surdo, rim shotting the caxia and playing clave on the bell. All instruments are to be tried in a relaxed atmosphere with tuition given on basic samba style to get you started. Further progression to join the band is possible!
Learn Afro-brazillian moves and the dances of the Orixias, join the band!

‘Boteco’ is an artful mixture of neo-futuristic traditional Brazilian rhythms with the right quantity of the best North American spices. It is funk and rock boiling and baking with samba, maracatu, frevo and baiao.
Put Pele and Mohammed Ali in a fictional mix machine. Now add Frank Zappa, Sergio Mendes, Tom Jobim and Roger Waters and fused in to one. What a mix eh? Bat Makumba is this fusion, multiplied by 2.
