Everyone in our town knows Sam Moss, but hardly anyone can stand being in a band with him!
But we are fool-hardy sorts, and thus, The Sams was born. We've been together 4 years, which we consider a feat in itself.
KD is our songwriter, Sam our virtuoso guitar wanker, Doug, the cool-headed and clever bassist, and then there's Dave.
We are not sure what to think of him. He's a drummer, and you know what that means. Besides that, he is always in love, or in hiding.
We love to jam. We are not quite sure of our genre, we love beer, and things best not mentioned here.
Come to Smoke City, NC, and we'll show you around.

You little traveler you have made the journey the long journey. You now know things that I have yet to know you little true name in my fathers lodge, good medincine little traveler. You truely are a paddle person. A paddle to the Sea.
Howdy guys...As you may know, I walked today in the Out of the Darkness walk for American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). My sponsors sent a lot of generous donations to this worthy cause, but the highlight of the day for me was seeing Pete play a most EXCELLENT set after the walk; it had been a long time, and we all truly enjoyed hearing his music once again. I participated in your memory, Sammy, but I also walked in recognition of the pain, suffering and loss that IS suicide; before, during and after.
Thanks to all of you for being part of my life...With much love and gratitude, Jody
Sam we ran the Koman. I have to say we cried all the way to the finish line. As soon as we were done. We got in the car and went to the mountains in Ashe county River house. Had to be away. I thought of you this weekend. Went to see Steve Winwood and Tom Petty. Steve sang I cant find my way home. I remember the Potatoe and said to Sam. We got a picture of the Mike C flame top for you!!!
One year ago seems like yesterday. The inspiration lives on. Today I'm gonna pick up my guitar and play it with Sam on my mind and in my heart. Here's to my friend and biggest influence. Sam Moss. The most talented guitarist I've ever known. Phillip
