Thesaurus Thedinosaur started playing around with producing hip-hop in 2000 while working with a rap crew from his school. After school, majoring in Philosophy at UCT sparked a deeper interest in Hip-hop culture. At the same time, becoming involved at a radio station broadened his musical taste and by 2003, TT was experimenting with making electronic music (largely influenced by hip-hop) and had met up with a number of Cape Town hip-hoppers, becoming involved in what is now The Faculty of Hiphop.
Currently Thesaurus Thedinosaur produces both 'Electronica' as well as Hip-hop music - both genres tending to influence each other, and jointly distracting him from his post-grad studies.
*and yes, I wrote this about myself in the third person (he says admittingly)
