Once upon a time in a pub called The Golden Eagle, a mutual love of alcohol, the Beatles and the Stone Roses threw together the elements that were to forge a band called Mezzanine..... damn, no, the Saved. With ABSOLUTELY NO religious overtones, they carried the weight of their name with no irony. In fact, they all think religion is gobble-de-gook (although, we're not sure of about the spelling of gobbledygook?).
Through sheer hard work, persistance, and the ability to put up with morons, they dragged themselves through nearly 200 gigs in three years. Playing with such luminaries as 'Dogs', 'We Start Fires', 'The Research', 'Fonda 500' and 'Envy' (hmmm), the Saved honed a shambolic and statutory live presence.
Over the years the Saved have redefined and refined songs that will make up their first studio album, some of which can be found on here.
Currently, the band are sat planning world domination whilst guitarist Billy is cavorting around Europe, camping (ooh err missus...).
Brand new gigs will be posted here soon, before anywhere else... aren't you lucky.
