   About The Scaremongers
Who are the Scaremongers? It's a mystery that serious archaeologists are still struggling to understand. Are they a myth, like Kaiser Sosa? Are they a dream, like Valhalla or Brigadoon? Do they live in Reality as we know it? Or are they a fiction, like Santa Claus or Sasquwatch? Many men have wasted their lives trying to answer this conundrum. What we do know is, like freedom and justice, they live in the hearts of good people the planet over, and so long as we can conjure them in our imaginations, we will never be alone.

To obtain copies of the Historical Documents that The Scaremongers have given the World as a guide to enlightenment, you could always try:

The Scaremongers' Cloudberry Single, assembled in the hallowed halls of Cloudberry Records, (scroll down through the catalogue to No 087).

The Scaremongers' First Double A-Side, archived in the palatial vaults of Vinyl Tap.

Dear The Scaremongers, Do you (or any of your myspace friends) make zines? We need zines for an exhibition in Halifax. I think we're going to dangle them from the ceiling at eye level or something; a kind of Forest of Zines? Should be good providing they don't all get tangled up by cheeky scallies.
Drop me a line if you interested!
Thanks
Kevin

Goodness me!
Just when I thought The Scaremongers had made the finest song of the decade, 'Cardigan Girl', they once again surpass themselves with a sublime sound that left me in a haze of ecstasy and delight!
After that I cannot wait to use my derailleur in order to ride down to the nearest record shop and purchase 'Born In A Barn'.
Well done, gentlemen.
You've done it again.

Yours,
Mookin Man Snr.

Excellent new song - though I did have to look up "Derailleur"... but then, I only ever had a one speed bike.

Can't wait for the album.

THE TRAVELLING BAND + special guests Maghribibeat + Submaniks
THE TRAVELLING BAND
“Manchester’s great next hope? They ought to be.” Metro
Led by the gifted song-writing, impeccable playing, and honeyed harmonies of vocalists/guitarists Adam Gorman, Jo Dudderidge and Steve ‘Snaf’ Ballinger, The Travelling Band’s shimmering blend of cosmic-country-pop-folk has made them one of the most talked about artists to emerge from the Manchester music scene in many a year. They’ve recently released their debut album. Expect great things in 2009.
MAGHRIBIBEAT
Traditional Moroccan Gnawa music meets high energy acoustic driven trance. One of the very best live experiences in the U.K. Perfect festival music. Be prepared to dance and trance. Maghribibeat play REAL trance made by human beings and not computers!

he band re-creates a highly rhythmic and trance-like sound typical of North Africa, and band members have made several visits to Morocco to gather and extend their material, and during one visit performed on Moroccan national television.
SUBMANIKS
A new band from Sowerby Bridge.
Expect guitar infused power pop!

Hello The Scaremongers. I hope you are having a wonderful new year.

I really love your music, and if you get the time, I would love it if you could listen to my newest song - entitled "Who's The One," and let me know what you think.

Thanks, and keep on creating wonderful music!

I just finished reading "Gig", and felt the urge to come and tell you just how damn brilliant it is. I'm sure you already know that, but it must feel good to hear it again, right?

Now come and play a gig in Nagoya, Japan... go on, you know you want to! ;)
