   About The Scoobs
The Scoobs - New CD "Is It Now?" out now!

SCOOBS IN COLOMBIA are a UK based band formed in the summer of 1991, their music is a fusion of several World Music styles and contemporary rock/funk and reggae rhythms, fronted by an upbeat Afro-Latin percussion section.

Their own compositions reflect the many musical influences that drive the bands unique and original quality. With Drum and vocal songs such as Hot Turkey and The Didg Thang to lively Afro-pop numbers such as Mister Mister and African Rumba, their gigs attract a wide-ranging audience with mixed ages, social and musical tastes all human life is there!

"The Scoobs are without doubt, one of those bands where you cant stop dancing, they are out to have fun and their live performances reflect their sheer enjoyment of playing together"... (Grapevine magazine)

Gary Leach, drummer with the band once commented;

If this band took things too seriously, we would have split up years ago!. That being said, behind the bands fun approach to life and music, there lies some very talented individuals whose musicianship and strong harmonies make a sound rich in quality and diversity.

The band have built up a large following over the years they have been together, and are no strangers to playing the festival circuit, and larger venues such as the UEA Norwich, and Colchester Arts Centre. They have been recording early in the new year, laying down tracks for a long awaited studio album.
