The Scourge of the Sea write sweet golden pop music. Swiftly tilting songs surround ghosted melodies and jangled hooks...with the cover and comfort of darkness from the first time you saw the ocean, the first time you got lost and the first time you lost. Smart and literate songwriting coupled with dreamy, atmospheric arrangements don't displace simple sing-a-longs over fractious electric guitars.
The Scourge of the Sea has recently shared bills with Stars, Fruit Bats, Paleo, Langhorne Slim, Marbles, Rogue Wave and Clem Snide, touring relentlessly throughout the U.S. in support of MAKE ME ARMORED.
The band's releases include a vinyl demonstration single, "My Sweet One b/w Out of the Trash," out on Paper Records, and a full-length album, Make Me Armored, produced by DUANE LUNDY, available from independent mainstay Alias Records.
They are currently at work on their new album.

Hey Andrew! I finished a new song named Beyouthafool. I uploaded it last night to my page. Any advice or criticism you guys could offer would be most appreciated. I have always loved Scourge of the sea.....
If you get a chance, swing by my personal myspace and check out the latest song that I just wrote and recorded. It is not mastered, but it will give you an idea of what I do.
