HOLY COW! Joyous Noise advances to the Semifinal round of the Emergenza Festival!!!
Thanks to the support of our great fans (and about 30+ people we didn’t know who voted for us!) we have advanced to the next round of the festivals contest. We had a blast Saturday night at The Bitter End and wound up the top vote getter of the evening with 83 votes. Now it’s on to Crash Mansion (199 Bowery, NYC, NY) for Round Three! Can Germany be too far behind!!! Lassen Sie uns Kuchen in Berlin essen!!!!
The show is Sunday, May 24th (Memorial Day Weekend) We go on at 11:30pm but great music starts at 8 so come hang early with us! Please save the date. You don’t have work the next day and think of how cool you’ll feel at Monday’s BBQ, knowing you helped America get one step closer to booting us out of the country!!! We may even get a bus together for our fans to get liquored up ahead of time!!!

Very kool music. Just want to let U and your friends know about my upcoming SI concert. A RARE STATEN ISLAND PERFORMANCE BY FORMER JOE JACKSON GUITARIST VINNIE ZUMMO!!!!
Vinnie Zummo Trio FEATURING: Vinnie Zummo, guitar Cameron Brown, bass Ray Marchica drums Special Guest: Janice Zummo vocals
Sunday, February 22nd Dinner: 6:00pm Show: 7:00pm Lorenzo’s Restaurant, Bar & Cabaret At The Hilton Garden Inn
To say that former Staten Islander Vinnie Zummo is eclectic is an understatement. His credits read like a who’s who of rock and he also spends four to five hours a day playing be bop. Most well known for his seven years as a featured soloist in The Joe Jackson Band, Vinnie has also recorded with Art Garfunkel, Shawn Colvin, Paul Carrack, Marti Jones, Roger Daltrey and Mike Maneri, as well as appearing on David Letterman and The Tonight Show.
Vinnie has a different approach to playing jazz guitar. His sound is unique and languid and his phrasing is much more like a saxophone than a guitar. Janice Zummo, on vocals, has an amazing, emotional voice . The Trio’s performance at Lorenzo’s Cabaret will feature straight ahead bop, standards and a very eclectic set. With everything from hard bop, and blues to Zydeco, The Vinnie Zummo Trio will bring the same energy to the Hilton that has packed recent performances at the Blue Note and The Cutting Room.
