The Secret 6 has completed their first full-length album (digital release now available on SNOCAP)!! This is only the beginning for the dynamic foursome from Long Beach. The Deli LA named them Band of the Month February 2008!
During 2006 and 2007, The Secret 6 had a busy schedule of shows from Hollywood to San Diego, as well as two events for Indie 103.1 FM. They also played a live on-air performance FM college radio stations 89.9 KXLU FM.
The Secret 6 single “Give In”, a melodic pop song with melancholy vocals, is featured on the soundtrack of the major motion picture ‘Penelope,’ (starring Christina Ricci and Reese Witherspoon) and is available on iTunes. Other songs on the album, “1992”, “Last Dance” and “Familiar," have earned airplay LA’s Indie 103.1FM and KROQ 106.7FM.
James left a CD copy of some of the early mixes for your album at my house a while ago and I popped it in the CD player the other day to listen to it. It has a version of "Salvation" without any vocals on it.
I must have listened to both the vocal and no-vocals versions about forty times and I have to say that "Salvation" in particular is just a beautiful song. It makes a fantastic soundtrack to driving over the Bay Bridge and looking at the San Francisco skyline in the morning.
No worries guys, your music just has that big festival feel to it, I can imagine it being played in front of a field of thousands on a warm summer evening... Newmy PW x x
