The Making Of 'Ayo! Lets Go!' - PART 1
The guys travel to Bali, Indonesia, to record their debut CD. PART 1 shows how the band started and answers the big question: "Why Bali?"
The Making Of 'Ayo! Lets Go!' - PART 2
Continuing this bizarre story even further from wrapping up in the studio to playing a big festival show with some of Indonesia's top bands.
THE SECRET GAME - Sacred Scratch (Live) Whilst on a break from a stint in the recording studio in Bali, Indonesia, the guys hit the mainstage at the Global Warming Benefit Festival at Kuta Beach in front of around 5,000 locals and travellers.
THE SECRET GAME is a 3 piece band that began in Adelaide, South Australia. With ex-members of underground bands Close Call, NEO, Kaliope and being heavily influenced by the long list of artists etc down the left of this myspace page, the band thrives by fusing ballsey Guitar Rock with Synthesizer Keyboards and blending it with quirky lyrical themes.
"The Secret Game showed excellent stage charisma and catchy songs making the youthful crowd bounce" dB Magazine, November 2008
Since their inception in 2007, the band performed all around the country, but only limited intimate (secret) shows to begin with, before travelling to Bali to record their debut 6-Track EP at Pregina Recording Studio + perform in front of an audience of 5,000 people for a Global Warming Benefit Festival. [**Note: Check out the youtube videos to the left of this page**]
In late 2008 this recording was mixed in Brisbane's Blackbox Studio by Magoo (Spiderbait, PNAU, Regurgitator, Midnight Oil, Butterfingers, End Of Fashion etc). So now you, the myspace guest, can check out a sneak preview of a few songs from this recording released as the EP 'Ayo! Lets Go!'.
"The Secret Game's impressive debut release serves up a sweaty mosh pit full of raw rock energy with enough quirky flashbacks to make it a clear stand-out from the every day" Bunyip Magazine, April 2009
Recent highlights include performing at Darwin's V8s Race Event (June '09) on the same stage as Jimmy Barnes and The Presets, iNTune Music Conference Showcase for NT Music Month + being invited as featured guests on Indonesian National TV Show called BALI REQUEST.
Now if all that wasn’t enough excitement for these 3 lads, a deal joining forces with JL Music Publishing has included their song 'Sacred Scratch' in successful Adelaide Film Festival movie 'Offside' and the track 'Amnesia' on Foghorn Records Compilation CD 'Grow Your Own: UPLOAD Vol. 3'.
Ayo! Lets Go! is available to be heard, sold, and thrown at anyone trying to leave during The Secret Game’s set! The band has plans to do a lot of touring in the near future, so keep an eye out for these secret dudes to pop up just when you least expect it!
