The Secret Stolen is a four-piece outfit from Chico, CA. Well more like a band than an outfit. You can't wear us out on the town or to the prom or church or anything like that. The group formed in July of 2005 and have since performed more than 150,000 shows. The Secret Stolen strives to preserve a Chico tradition of energetic, passionate and quality rock shows. Their debut album, "Absent Without Leave", was recorded in March 2006 by Jeff Schneeweis (Number One Gun dude). Local entertainment magazine, The Synthesis, stated in their review: "Absent Without Leave shows their capabilities to be versatile and demonstrates their raw talent as individual musicians. The group is without a doubt creeping upon their prime."
Here's what we're creeping up on right now. We just finished recording our two newest songs with Chris Keene (Surrogate dude) to fill out our second album which will be mixed and mastered along with all the other tracks we recorded this summer up in Weed, CA. Album artwork will be done by none other than the superhuman Alex Woods from the masterfully tailored outfit, Idle Discourse.
Also our van, Jean Claude Band Van, is dead.
Back to the record... we hope to have it available through Unfun Records sometime before the temperature in Chico reaches over 100 degrees fahrenheit.
i understand. its just that i'm moving on august 12 so this was going to the last show i could see you guys play at. i guess i will have to come back and visit : D until then rock on
