About me:
The Seed and Death Beds, Love Songs, & Ancestors are two totally different magazines. Please excuse all the recent changes! We're working on it....please bear with us....it'll be worth it, trust us!

The Seed is a literary magazine written by the amazing poets of the Central Valley. The four contributing editors of the Seed felt that there was an abundant amount of talent in the Central Valley poetry scene-- so much talent that a publication needed to be dedicated to the cause. Hence, the Seed was born. The first issue has been released, and shows with fervor what the original editors set out to prove: the poets and writers of the Central Valley are edgy, memorable, and deserve to be out from under the radar.

The first issue is available several places. You can get your copy at The Beat Down (every 3rd Tuesday at The Starline in Tower, or every 3rd Thursday at the Inner Ear, at Full Circle Brewery....AND NOW at Centaur Books). To submit to our next exciting issue, email 3-5 poems or short stories to theseedfresno@gmail.com.

Death Beds, Love Songs, & Ancestors is a literary AND art AND photography magazine. The deadline for submissions for the first issue is May 15, 2006. We will be accepting poetry AS WELL AS art. For more information, visit us at Death Beds

Looking good, I'll put something together for it and mail it to you. Also, if you're looking to expand where your zine is sold, Quimby's, a really awesome indie book store in Chicago, will carry your books on consignment. There's no formal process to go through other than sending in the book/zine/etc. with the specific form. It may not be a big money maker, but it would give you one more venue for distribution. The website is http://www.quimbys.com. I went there about 2 years ago and bought like 60 dollars of indie zines, it's a nice store and they have a published newsletter and weblog where they review some of the zines sent to them.
