The Seeing Eye Dogs: General Info
Member Since7/29/2007
Band MembersLloyd Kingham: Lead vocalist of the Seeing Eye Dogs who also plays a mean tambourine. Damien Lodge: An accomplished guitarist who learnt his craft in Melbourne, Damien has the same fun appraoch to music we all love. Geoff Mort: On bass up the back, there is no doubt he is playing and playing well. Half of a very solid rhythm section. Jim Virgona: A Keyboard player not afraid to experiment, and occassional guitarist. A sometimes vocalist with a sense of adventure. Grant Bunter: Drums. The Other half of the very solid Rhythm section. Attempts to provide backup harmonies and sings the sum total of one song for the crowds enjoyment and to give Lloyd a well deserved rest. We have had some other great people play with us a lot or on occasions: Roger Murphy: Our (now ex) virtuoso guitar player, whose heartfelt licks have been known to move small buildings. Roger is deep in the blues. Brad Moss: An accomplished singer with an awesome voice. Brad was kind enough to fill in during Lloyds' abscence for the final of the 2007 Sydney Blues Society Performer of the Year competition. He rocked! Scott Cochrane: Scott delivered a powerful performance with us on the Saturday at the inaugral Bidgee Blues Club festival in 2008...

Based in the bustling metropolis of Wagga Wagga, The Seeing Eye Dogs formed in 2006, when Roger and Grant joined up with the remainding members of another line up. The Seeing Eye Dogs are an ordinary bunch of guys doing the music thing. Despite humble beginnings our combined influences have let us broaden our horizons, and we play a mixture of blues, soul and "classic" rock. Our music is generally about fun and enjoyment, we rehearse to deliver you polished performances that will leave you walking out the door having had a great time! At the end of the gig no longer do we hear "go home", these days it's "more", "Cold Chisel", "AC/DC", "Wow you guys are great" (We remain a bit dubious about the middle 2 but hey beware of what you ask for fans and followers). We are proud to announce that we won the inaugral 2007 Wagga Wagga Bidgee Blues Club "Performer of the Year" competition. We also made an appearance in the Sydney Blues Society Performer of the Year Competition as well and the emcee later said "You guys really cooked and opened a few eyes (hehehe) in the big smoke." In 2007 we also spent some time in the studio and we're in the middle of compiling an EP which is steadily approaching it's own release date. We are proud to use the following equipment: Fender, Roland, Yamaha, Tomkins, Ernie Ball Music Man, David Eden, Pearl, Zildjian, Paiste, Sabian, UFIP and Shure products, but we are not company endorsees.

The silence on your mp3 player is deafening.
I will have another look when I get home from Melbourne, might be something to listen to then.
I look forward to hearing what you have although live music is best.

I know I am a bit slow with this comment but things have been a bit topsy turvey around here lately.
Was great to be able to sit back, relax and enjoy the great music at your last gig, just when I needed it most. So glad it was you guys playing that night.
See you at the next one with my dancing shoes back in action.
