Although there is considerable work on this disc that seems a bit lost in the mass releases of the past almost year, which is particularly unfortunate because the fans include Neil Young, John Stewart, John Prine, Will Oldham, Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt, Gram Parsons and The Byrds undoubtedly find their liking in these ten self - penned songs. Opening track "18 Wheels" with pedal steel, Hammond organ and a mean banjo country paves the way for some beautiful "(Alt) Country Songs - Rootsville.be (translated from Dutch?)

The sadness in this album has such an inspiring and beautiful effect on me. Emotionally charged softness in his delivery, Nate Wallace can place this sad blanket on my lap and make me feel slightly warmer. The line "sometimes I need a nemesis to remind me who I am" in Bad Idea hits me so directly I have begun to believe I really do.
