   About The Sermon
NEW ALBUM AVAILABLE:
"Articles of War", the devastating new rock 'n roll album by The Sermon, is now available for download! Harnessing equal parts menace and soul, The Sermon expand on their Alternative Tentacles debut lp/cd "Volume", with the heavy, sonically versatile "Articles of War". Produced by Marco Martin (Morrissey, Tony Visconti) and featuring guest appearances by Penelope Houston (The Avengers) and Kelley Stoltz (SubPop Records), the tracks capture the explosive, powerful, high-energy dynamics that have become the band's trademark. Purchase it right now directly through Snocap.

LEVI'S COMMERCIAL:
"A Choice of Weapons", the lead-off track from The Sermon’s new album, was recently featured in a Levi’s television commercial that aired across the United States and Puerto Rico. The :30 “Levi’s Black” spot—a tie-in with BMX favorite Morgan Wade—was part of Levi's “Choose Color” campaign and ran for 6 months on NBC, MTV, ESPN, Spike, Fuse and Fuel.

107.7 INTERVIEW & "ARTICLES OF WAR" PREVIEW:
The Sermon were recently featured on 107.7 The Bone's Local Licks radio show, where the band discussed their new album, "Articles of War", and played select tracks. You can tune in Sunday nights at midnight to listen to the Local Licks show and hear additional Sermon sounds broadcast over the airwaves. A 107.7 review of the new record can also be viewed at: www.1077thebone.com/locallicks/featuredBand.asp

SFMOMA:
Currently on display at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, is a Mudhoney/Sermon silk-screen poster that was created by noted graphic designer, Justin Walsh. The hand-screened print is included in an exhibition of Bay Area poster artists located on the second floor in the Museum's Architecture and Design Department. It can also be seen online at: www.gigposters.com/poster/20841_Mudhoney.html

Here's a video of an interview I did with renowned photographer Bob Gruen last year. He talks about the early days when he was taking pictures of Ike and Tina Turner, John Lennon, the New York Dolls, the Sex Pistols and the Clash. Check it out!
