"Jeff Beadle (vocals) is a competent front-man drawing attention through his great vocals and expressive body language." -Pete Nema (Toronto Concert Photography and Music Blog)
"You can add another band to the raft of great talent coming out of the Toronto area." -Mike Bax (Fazer Magazine)
These 3 Cities are a band driven by their passion for creation and the chemistry between players. The foundation that brings these members together is through their influences of Rock, R&B, a ton of soul, some roots, folk and indie rock with a touch of alt country twang. It is also undoubtedly the essence that captures your attention when you experience their music.
These Three Cities began in the summer of 2006, when Jeff Beadle (Vocals) and Matt Rocca (Keys) had been playing in Toronto as an acoustic act while they were writing and recording their debut CD "Kickapoo Joy Juice". Bruce Gordon (I Mother Earth) played bass and Adam Tune (Régine Chassagne -ARCADE FIRE) composed and programmed the drum grooves, as well produced the bands first release. Soon after the EP was complete Charles Dumaresq (Bass) and Mike Speer (Drums) joined where they spent 2 months practicing in preparation for the upcoming debut CD release show which was held at the Horseshoe Tavern to a sold out crowd and rave reviews.
After the band’s second release local Producer Troy Williams was added to These 3 Cities strong line up of players as lead guitar. Troy brings a refreshing new approach to the guitar and an intense on stage energy. With solid additions over the last few years, These 3 Cities have become a very tight, passionate group of friends with an undeniable chemistry on stage that has allowed them to write and perform their best music yet.
They have also had opportunity to be mentored by some of the industry's top professionals like producers Bob Ezrin, (Jane's Addiction, Kiss, Army Of Anyone, Pink Floyd, Deftones...) and Brian Moncarz, (The Junction, Pilate, Kyle Riabko, We Are The Take...).
The band so far has shared the stage with many great acts like, Stereos, Die Mannequin, Birds of Wales, The Artist Life, Justin Nozuka and Oliver Black.
"These Three Cities have crafted a fine blend of pop and rock. Their debut album Kickapoo Joy Juice is a real breath of fresh air... the band is versatile' ..'bright and original' " -Andy Gemza- sceneandheard.ca
They are currently preparing to go back into the studio to work with Brian Moncarz on their first full length. The recordings will take place at both Metalworks Studios, Mississauga ON and Rattlebox Studios, Toronto ON (Brian Moncarz/Dave Botrill)
