"A blinding demo... well catchy" - Huw Stephens, Radio 1
"Crazy, eccentric, individual... This is an outfit that, if there's any justice in the world, you should hear a great deal more of in the future... Extraordinary business" - Adam & Joe, Coca-Cola Europe podcast
1. Our songs tend to be short, averaging around two minutes and thirty seconds.
2. We use a drum machine, and we have a keyboard.
3. We also have a bass guitarist, and a lead guitarist, and a rhythm guitarist. And we have a singer.
4. Our lyrics are not clever and witty stories of northern life. Nor are they love songs.
5. When we play live, sometimes we stare at our feet, and sometimes we move around a lot.
The songs we have up are some of the tracks we recorded live in six hours in Bryn Derwen studio with producer Lance Thomas (Ladytron/PJ Harvey/Simian Mobile Disco). All of the tracks have now been released under the title Julius Martov & the Sexy Mistakes are Narcissists on the Word is Out label, which you can buy on digital download from here

Like fellow Liverpudlians Hot Club De Paris...with bouncy, choppy riffs and a very much danceable rhythm, synths swirl like a demented fairground ride while the boys perform fantastic, sing along harmonies. MAKE NOISE AND DANCE
