The Shakes formed in early 2008 uniting two sets of musical brothers from different families and musical incarnations; The Moore's and The Sniffles. Riding a fun bus driven by melody, musicianship and mild mannered mischief, The Shakes provide the sort of social commentary to music that would make David Coleman proud. With demo session recordings in place The Shakes are plying their trade around the live venues of London, UK and occasionally further afield and cut swathes through the venues of the world with joyful songs such as Lonely (with my crackpipe), Prison Reform and Only Fish in Town.
Finishing 2008 with a run of gigs at 229, The Dublin Castle, Hope and Anchor and going into 2009 at Water Rats, hold onto your hats and scream for speed-scream if you want to go faster!
