The Shake-Up! was born in February, 2005 out of the contaminated, polluted shores of New Jersey; sent with a message to change the world. They have an untouchable sound that no other band has done before: Ska, Punk and Grind-Core, all slammed together with a little Death Metal, Reggae, Hard-Core and Hip-Hop. They are the inventors of Grind-Core Ska. The songs deal with issues such as the current need for affordable housing, the right to recieve alternative medications (natural ones), the need for the FDA to stop allowing the poisoning of your food, the current need for a change in the music industry, pollution, and many other issues. They have tried doing gas boycotts and many other things to help change current problems. Read the lyrics if you want more. They have done a few tours since they've been together, touring the entire United States (East/West Coasts - North/South) They have toured with only a bassist and guitarist, and with a full line up. They are determined and will never be brought down, and will go on regardless of what anyone says. Nothing can stop them. DIY.
