Music works its miracle everyday, it has been called the ‘international language’ and the ‘food of love’ if it were not so how could Amar a Punjabi vocalist , Ennio an Italian guitarist and Raj a rock drummer ever have got together to become the musical force that is Shantitown. Shantitown are the brainchild of Amar Singh and co-producers Mann Sudera, who were later joined by Ennio and Raj to complete a creative team of artistes that complemented each other. Ennio played guitar on Amar Singh’s debut single Dil Jaan which features on ‘YAARO’ the compilation album introducing the winners of the Asian Star Search competition organised by Kuljit Bhamra (Keda Records) and Mann Sudera. SHANTiTOWN are about original Punjabi and Hindi songs, lyrically deep and musically profound finding their urban rock soul. SHANTiTOWN is where diverse backgrounds and musical traditions embrace and powerfully transform. Amar Singh and SHANTiTOWN are working on their debut album..........

"The only dream worth having is to dream that you will live while you are alive, and die only when you are dead. To love, to be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and vulgar disparity of the life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget." - Arundhati Roy
