The Sharks are a duo that sound like a band. Singer, Warner Poland, and drummer, Marcellus Puhlemann, have long since been active sidemen and producers, working with such diverse artists as Chris Whitely, Paul van Dyk, Zeraphine, Bela B. and Richard Cameron, to name but a few. In addition they have formed the backbone of the Nina Hagen Band since 1996. ________________________________________
Between gigs and in soundchecks, songs were written and jammed out, and soon quite a collection of very unique songs had been collected that obviously required further attention. The Sharks were born. Back in Berlin it was off into the studio where an intense studio session gave birth to the first half of The Sharks's CD "to be". At present Warner and Marcellus are preparing to go back into the studio and record the second batch of songs, hopefully having a finished record by early 2009.

The Sharks' musical home is the simple pop song, the emotion, the voice, guitar, bass and drums. 3 minutes and 30 seconds are the frame and the song the picture. Timeless arrangements and emotional performances that hopefully move you. Enjoy.
