THE SHAY is situated on hunger hill next to Halifax Towns Shay football ground.
We have given THE SHAY a makeover and refurbishment and further improvements are planned.
We have chosen the slogan "THERE'S NO BIZ LIKE SHAY BIZ"
The slogan reflects the speciality in Live music and we intend to live up to it.

Who I'd like to meet: ABOUT THE MUSIC
We are starting out with regular Saturday live band nights which will feature many of the regions top Rock and Covers bands and also some quality bands from further afield.
In the near future we hope to introduce other different types of music styles one of which could be a once a month punk night (on a Friday) so if your in a punk band give us a call or e-mail. We would also like to hear from anybody who would be interested in other regular live music nights like folk, country, rock and roll, jazz or other styles and tastes in music, anything really so why dont you pop down on one of our rock nights see what you think and have a chat.
If there's enough interest in other styles of music we'll introduce a music night to cater for it.
WE WANT TO SUPPLY THE LIVE MUSIC THAT YOU THE CUSTOMER WANTS.
LETS ALL MAKE THE SHAY THE BEST LIVE MUSIC VENUE IN THE AREA.

all the best baz n lisa would it help at all if all the crowd, bands etc sent some sort of petition to the brewery? yknow one last attempt either way send their details for total hate mail, good luck don't leave halifax there are plenty boozers closing down is it possible to take one over?? hiyaa! im planning on coming to the shay to see the UK Subs on the 21st of Novemeber. Would i have to pay or the door or can i buy tickets now, because im coming from Sunderland so i need to make sure that ill get in before travelling down. :). cheers! Shell.
