A drummer who's other band is a barbershop quartet, a singer thats stuck in the 60's, Mr Jazz on bass and a guitarist with a thing for Ani DiFranco
The Shift were formed late 2007, when acoustic duo 'Sarah and Therése' decided their music needed something more...which came in the form of Nic Breakspear on Bass, and Tim Briggs on Drums.
The Shift's high energy live shows fronted by the powerful, and rather fiesty Therése, are so good that one boy cried all the water out of his body. Should you dare witness one you can expect performences of original funk/soul/rock tunes....with a few covers, including Etta James, Tom Jones, Stevie Wonder and Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the odd bit of skatting, rapping, Lord of the Dancing and guest brass players thrown in for good measure.
We expect to have more songs up on the Myspace very soon!
