Bio:

Well music fans...so excited to official start releasing the 8 tunes that we recorded this summer at the Tragically Hip's awesome studio in Bath, ON. I put together an all-star lineup, with Pete Crawford on lead guitar & keys, Andy Murray on bass, Kirk Dawson on the skins, and myself - lead vocals & acoustic guitar. I really hope you like these tunes....currently work on art work, as well as booking some shows in and around the GTA. Enjoy! Keith Shiner is a seasoned acoustic performer hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. When people first experience his original material, they are surprised to find out that song writing is a recent passion – his first song was written in 2006. Since then has been writing songs at a torrid pace, receiving accolades for his wonderful song crafting and heartfelt lyrics. In December 2007 he released his first solo CD – “The Shiitake Project Presents – Keith Shiner, So High, Solo” (iTunes) containing no less than 15 tracks that showcase Keith’s range in musical styles and storytelling.

To promote his music, Keith has played shows at The Horseshoe Tavern, The Cameron House, Clinton’s, Hugh’s Room and C’est What – to name a few. His style has been compared to Steven Page (minus the baritone), Jack Johnson, a hint of Neil Young, and Hayden. In the summer of 2008, Keith was entered into Inditalent.ca's ‘Older Idol’ contest, and emerged victorious from the live performance ‘shoot out’ in front of industry judges.
