A trashy, prairie girl at heart, Chay N. Sawin' is excited about entering the hip and sophisticated world of Toronto. An immigrant from Vancouver, she is an actor, singer, writer, teacher and fiddler. Her biggest influence is her grandpa who played fiddle til the age of 95, touring in a band that played dances in southern Saskatchewan. His wife (Grandma Dorothy) would get angry if he was home later than 10 pm. His name is Ben and his band was called The Has Bens.

In a desperate attempt to relieve the monotony of daily existence, Trucker has strapped on the guitar and is trying to reclaim his lost youth. Between lying, cheating and stealing, he has managed to scrape together a few songs with his fellow Shinhackers. Over the years, Trucker has played with the Sunken River Bluegrass Band which became the Wrecking Yard before ending up as scrap metal, and the Cross-tuned Experience which quickly became the cross-eyed experience. His day job is working in a nutcracker factory for the month of December followed by a long period of seasonal unemployment.
