the ship... located in lovely eagle rock ca., has been home to earlimart, pine marten, great northern and panty lions since 2000. many others have recorded here as well. irving, silversun pickups, grandaddy, folk implosion, the breeders, devics, the meeting places, wonderground and so on...
the ship is a hybrid of analog and digital mediums. it includes an mci 16 trk 2" tape machine and a 24 i/o pro tools mix plus system. we have a variety of tube and solid state mic pre's. a bunch of different compressors, vintage eq, tape delays, spring reverbs and echoes....
we also have a nice selection of vintage, modern, and weird microphones. from ribbons to tube to what the hell is that?...
we have a huge selection of drums, guitars, amps, keys, synths, pedals... hmmmm .... uh...
the ship studio has one large control room, one large live room, a small live room, an iso booth, outdoor tiki lounge, and a bathroom...
