From the strange and rural Vashon Island comes The Shirks, a three piece original rock band that is adventurous and distinctive. The Shirks music has an intimate feel, taking the listener on a late night road trip down America’s forgotten byways. From hypnotic ballads to cathartic rock, their songs bring to life characters and places that you won’t soon forget.
The Shirks are fronted by singer-songwriter and bass player, Allison Shirk. Her soulful vocals and commanding stage presence make her right at home in a rural roadhouse or back alley speakeasy. Guitarist and songwriter Brad Shirk has an edgy and unaffected sound with vintage rock flair. Drummer Eddy J rounds out this uncommon trio with monster grooves and jazz player panache. Their complete sound comes together in a seamless bond of musicality.
