LOS ANGELES: is a town full of earthquakes and rattle snakes, riots
and Hollywood diets, but this has not made the Shocker loose their
sense of humor or soften their ability to deliver aggressive,
alternative rock. The band's photos and graphics often feature the
night time landscapes, objects and monuments that make-up a rich
nighttime vision of the city they love. Many of these images are taken
by lead singer and guitarist Jennifer Precious Finch, also a fine art
photographer as well other LA based greats. Los Angeles comforts the
band like a veil of sweet chaos, as they sweep in and out of town,
tour after tour.
TOURING: Tours have included two years of the Van's Warped Tour, Three
joints of Europe, a couple of treks through the U.S. and most notable,
a D.I.Y tour of Turkey in 2006. The later has made the band the first
from the United States that have done this kind of tour in Turkey and
Lisa Howe and Jennifer Precious Finch the first female western hard
rock musicians that have toured a predominately Muslim country.
RECORDINGS: have a included a a full length CD called, "Up Your Ass
Tray: the full length" and a similarly titled EP simply called, "Up
Your Ass Tray. The later was a "demo" version for the full length, and
was only sold at the bands live shows. Although some of the tracks are
the same, the mixes and production is different. "The Full Length"
includes Ice T's Body Count cover of "On with the Body Count". The
original demo has a version of the 50s / 60's Classic, "Just Call Me
Angle of the Morning".

Finch formed the Shocker in 2002 to play a party in an old store front
on East Sunset Blvd. (the least talked about side of Sunset Blvd.)
with friends from the neighborhood . The party never stopped.
As of summer 2008, the band is recording.
