It all started in 2007, when Host Gary Cantrell envisioned an outlet in which he could share his thoughts on the Professional Wrestling world with Wrestling fans from all over the world. With plenty of vision and extensive planning, The Shoot took the internet airwaves in April of 2007 on the highly popular BlogTalkRadio Social Broadcasting platform. In the weeks and months following Gary spent many sleepless nights spreading the word on his show to anyone who would listen. This caught the attention of former co-hosts Nick Malone, John Krauser, and Michelle Parsons who all found out about the show through extensive promotion. Due to certain circumstances, all 3 co-hosts found their way off of the show by August 2007, including one controversial firing on air.
In the fall of 2007, Gary partnered up with Justin Bailey (from the critically acclaimed From All Angles You Tube program) to forge a new direction for The Shoot radio show. Both of which had the same drive in promoting and producing a good show. However in December of '07, Bailey departed from the program citing "Personal Reasons". Bailey's From All Angles co-host Alan Martin immediately stepped up to the plate to fill the spot. Since then, Gary and Alan have taken the Wrestling and MMA communities by storm with their shocking yet very honest remarks on the latest topics. Using a straight forward, straight shooting approach the two have gained the respect of many fans and continue to bring the best possible program each and every week on the BlogTalkRadio network.
In April of 2009, on the 2 year anniversary of The Shoot....Gary brought fellow BlogTalkRadio superstar Diamond K on to The Shoot as the newest co-host!
Bottom line is: If your looking for an ego-free radio show that doesn't over use guests as a crutch for lack of talent/content, then you've come to the right place! This is BULLSHIT-free radio! We'll give you the news and our opinions on it, you can take it or leave it. Sounds simple enough, right?
