This is where the biography goes... We are THE SHORTCUTS. A 3 piece band - one third of us is Rhondda scumbag, the other two thirds are Creigau scumbags. We had been friends for years and played together in random bands and stuff and then decided to make The Shortcuts in December 2007. We had one practice session then recorded an EP called "Fuck The Shortcuts".. don't look for it. We had about 250 made and they are all gone, they aren't that great - not that its bad but its just not great. Anyway so back the biography - we played our first gig in December 2007 after just one practice, so whereas other bands play it safe and go and write more and practice to fuck and back we decided it would be better to book a full UK tour which took us as far south as Bridgwater and as far north as County Durham - it was a blast. After another practice we decided to record a full length album and release it on our own label, and to keep it completely fun we recorded it in our own "studio" - i say studio what i really mean is our bass players spare room, and when i say recording studio i mean a snaked copy of Cubase and some snaked microphones. The album is a 20 track beast, 33 minutes long - no spam, no shit, only a couple of middle 8's, it sounds raw and nice - like how bands used to before. We are currently recording our second record and we are about 75% done. Should be ready soon
