The Show began as a live radio program that airs on Fridays at 10pm on WRFU-LP, Urbana 104.5 FM and began in the Fall of 2005. The first broadcast was on November 18, 2005. The Show has evolved with each season bringing different scholars and artists to the microphone to bless the Champaign-Urbana area with commentary ranging from the politics to social justice to street logic. Intermingled you will find live performances from artists that come with flavor in the form of A Capella, Rap, Rock, Folk, Fusion and so on. All art forms are welcomed on The Show.
After over one year on the radio, The Show expanded to TV. It is currently on Mondays at 11pm on UPTV Channel 6 and Wednesdays at 11pm on UI Channel 7.
The host of The Show is a student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a native of The South Bronx. Combining the Afro-Caribbean flavor to the program, this Boriqua shares his perspective on life and on situations that affect many.
The one thing that you can expect when you watch The Show is the unexpected. You never know what you will find and you will always be pleasantly surprised. So check it out! Who knows? You might actually like it...
