i didn't really get into close to the edge when i was a teenager, but it's pretty cool. not a lot of 'song' material, but they were trying to do the symphonic thing, and they did it better here than they did later (mostly). plus this is the bulk of their long-form stuff with bruford still in the band, and he brought out the best in them.
Take a moment to stop and listen to the sounds of pa's lounge. You may hear or see witch folk, good trills, or other contact mics who inhabit the beer hall. Feel the cool freshness of the moist air.
