DEAR SHROUDETEERS:THE SHROUD IS NOT IN CHARGE OF THIS PAGE,IT'S BY A FAN FOR THE FANS ^_^
Combining modern dark rock stylings with a neo-pagan slant, The Shroud weaves an irresistible spell. First manifesting on Samhain of 1991, formed from the ashes of Lydia Fortner's all female Death Rock band The Shroudettes, they have been enchanting listeners ever since. The Gothic Rock band has been featured in many underground magazines including Carpe Noctem, Outburn, and Ghastly in the U.S., Blurred Victorian Child in England, Marble Moon in Italy, and The Scarecrow in France, generating fan mail from around the world. Their videos appear in New York's Propaganda Videozine, Vol. 2 compilation. The current lineup of The Shroud consists of five unique and accomplished musicians, who seek to present a theatre of emotion and mystery, communicating with the audience on several simultaneous levels. The combination of their talents creates an aural landscape filled with changeable moods and mysterious imagery. They reflect our world like rippling water - forever shifting, a dark and soft edged picture that leaves more to the imagination than to the senses.

There's gonna be some changes to my profile soon, all of them good, I've already added some new songs to my player...
And don't forget the American Heart Association awareness show on-line on the 11th of Oct at 11pm EST on Stickam. com, and the Roads End Radio Interview before the show between 8 and 10pm on roadsendradio. com...
I contacted Lydia: She's open to hearing what your (the fans) 12 favorite Shroud songs are. That's right, she's cool. Just leave comments on her page (I suppose you could message her, too, but isn't it more fun to share?). ~M
Okay folks... I spoke to Lydia and a couple of the others recently. They had an all band member meeting! The first in... years! They're **talking** about MAYBE putting out a remix CD of their favorite songs. In the meantime, they suggested that they put out a "Best of" CD. They asked me to suggest 12 songs that were my favorites. I figure, what the hey, why not let you guys in on it too. So, pick 12 of your favorites (I don't know why 12) and post them as comments on Lydia's MySpace. WARNING: She asked me, and my putting this out to everybody is MY idea, not hers, so I don't know how she may respond. The fact that the Shroud met all together again is, in itself, pretty amazing. Let Lydia know that we're all still thinking about them!
Hi there! Just wanted to let you all know that we had a band meeting recently (first time we've all been in the same room together in 5 years!!!) and we are going to start working on remixes of some of the tunes... possibly a "best of" disc too, which we will try to make a couple new songs for. Merry Ostara/Happy Spring to you all....
