Replica Republic is a Chicago band of friends and brothers. Their sound draws from; Gang of Four, Joy Division, Delta 5, Talking Heads, The Clash, The Smiths, Jawbox, My Bloody Valentine, The Fall.
Formed by Ross Felten (vocalist), Tim Rausch (guitar) and Dan Yoder (bass), Replica Republic’s first show was played with two laptops under the name Sidewalk. Soon, Alex Felten (guitar), and Lee Diamond (drums) formerly of Alkaloid, and current member of Douglass Kings, joined the band and Replica Republic was born. Their self titled LP was released on vinyl 2008. Soon thereafter, Dan moved to Miami to lead a non-profit, and long time friend Pete Thorn took over adding further influences. Replica Republic has played with some of Chicago’s best bands and venues.
The Replica Republic name comes from a punk zine that Lee Diamond published in the 90’s.
