The Silencers is a new group of European composer/improvisers, who fluidly combine freedom with a strong sense of compositional thinking.
The music flows between fragile sounds and open spaces to more dense rhythmic structures and despite the contrasting character of the music, it always remains soft-edged, inviting the audience to enter its nocturnal sound world.
The minute attention to detail attests to the sensitivy of the musicians: every little sound is important and has the potential to lead the music in new directions.
The Silencers represent with their combination of improvised/written pieces, a fresh wind in contemporary music, and they will puzzle audiences with their forceful yet soft and strangely moving music.
