Drummer and ‘NO' backing vocals. When his passion of being the lead vocalist of a rock band diminished because he realized he couldn't hit a single note, he decided to get as far away as he could from the microphones and began to play the drums. Dean has now been playing the drums for a few years and loves the Aussie pub rock style of The Silent. His influences are AC/DC, RHCP, KISS, Silverchair, Powderfinger, Foo Fighters, Pink Floyd, Greenday, The Angels and the list goes on. Dean hasn't given up on his vocal talents. He's just waiting for a song to come out in his key!

Well what can you say about this bloke....100% verified wanker, has the distinct ability of annoying all those around him. He thinks its some kind of superpower. The only reason he hasnt been kicked out of the band is that raggedy arsed old Les Paul he plays has quite a tone to it!!! You havent lived until you see this lunatic roaming the crowd, wireless, belting out some of the most awesome riffs of all time. Ladies, a request from management!!!!!! Please dont dance provocatively near the stage because we have enough trouble keeping him focused as it is.
RICK aka LORETTA
Rhythm and occasional lead guitar. Rick started to teach himself guitar at the age of 13 as a response to his doctors suggestions that he really should find something else to do with his hands.......hmmmm.He has played with various people and bands over the years and does owe a big thank you to "Hesh the Man" for fuelling his love of music and guitar. He gave up playing for a few years primarily because it was frowned upon by the warders and his cell mate. Later he re-acquainted himself with music and found a group of like minded musos that has evolved over a couple of years to become The Silent in its current line-up.He has bravely overcome complete lack of musical ability to polish his guitar playing and push the musical boundaries of Australian Pub Rock through the brute force of The Silent
MARK
Bass and backing vocals, Mark, was once a drummer, but because he cant keep time or count, he has moved onto the bass. He gets to let loose his passion for hard rock and punk music on stage. With influences like Kiss, Stone Temple Pilots, Metalica, Sex Pistols, Stanglers, Foo Fighters, Grinspoon, Midnight Oil, he loves to mix it up on stage. When the Gene Simmons Punisher is pumping through the SWR, ahh! Mark originally joined The Silent thinking it was a recovery group for demented souls...alas the issues that he brought to the group have heightened his, shall we say, strange behaviour, and parents are warned to keep their children away from the stage, especially if he is only wearing his boxer shorts!
ROBBIE ROCK
Lead Singer, frontman and legendary air guitarist. Robbies major influences are AC/DC, Angels, Cold Chisel, Metallica, Barnesy to name just a few. The sheer grunt that is the Silent has allowed Robbie to deepen his love for all heavy rock. Robbie brings an atmosphere that transports you back to the Bon Scott/Barnesy days of old. Make sure you catch the next gig and prepare to be blasted to hell and back with the instensity. For those about to Rock...We Salute YOU
