New music featuring new vocalist Rebecca Blair will be posted soon!
An alternative to the alternative of the alternative. Driving rock bouncing between what you know and what you thought you'd never hear. Intelligent, soulful lyrics seeking to rip the world open and a musical edge to do the job.
Something about it was fate, or it would be if any of the band truly believed in fate...we make our own destiny. But when Scot and Dave played together in 2003, Scot had a feeling they'd be in another band down the road. Dave and Tom had been playing together for years. Scot leaves his band due to musical/creative differences and hooks him up with Tom, as inventive and creative a guitarist as he's ever met - a musical story begins. Tom & Scot write tunes and realize that they're missing something...ah, yes...drums. Enter Dave (again, for both of them.) And thus, The Silent Screen came to life.
In another strange twist of fate, in the past, while working on new material and wondering how to take a step forward musically, the idea of a new vocalist crept in. Shortly after the idea, the reality appeared in Rebecca Blair who, like the rest of the band, had ties via previous groups to Dave and Tom. After a long, torturous auditioning process which included DNA mapping and various degress of psychological testing, Rebecca joined The Silent Screen in the summer of 2007...new musical examples to follow shortly....
Eclectic, textural rock and roll rife with non-traditional time signatures, yearning lyrics and enough drive to get you through the night...or at least make you forget about what won't let you get to sleep.

Hey thanks for asking. Right now I'm finishing up a home-spun collection of current stuff. I'm not sure exactly when it'll be done or what will be done with it, but u will be among the first to know! Let us know if your ever in our area for anything, we could hang. :)
Hey Guys~
Thanks so much for the message. Here is a little slam for ya. Stop by anytime. Really digging your sound as well. I like all the ambience.
Best,
Jamie (Silent Mind)
We may have to be careful with the order in which we choose to record tunes. We do, and I love this about us, give eclecticism a dictionary-like definition.

Awesome production. Great everything. The balence between all instruments/vocals is wonderful, and the vibe is just "sit back and enjoy it" The lyrics are really really good, I like the way the words just flow.
Can't wait to hear more,
Linley
